Date & Restaurant: April 19th at The Gatherin Place 2 in Pie Town, NM.

Limited: This ride will be limited, due to the quant size of the restaurant. So sign up!

Mileage oneway: Approximately 170 miles oneway (primarily interstate and highway speeds).

Meet Up & Time: La Luz Coffee Co. (for a coffee before we go) Map link here - KSU 8:00 am

Route: From La Luz Coffee Co, we’ll meander through town before hoping on I-40 heading west at Central. We’ll then take exit 89 off I-40 toward NM 117 toward Quemado. We’ll travel south through the El Malpais National Monument. We’ll come to a “T” at NM 36, taking a left toward Quemado/US 60. Once in Quemado, we’ll turn left onto US 60 (this is where we’d get fuel if needed). Another 21 miles and we’ll have pies on our plates!

Level: Novice to Intermediate (there will be a lot of high speed riding due to the interstate and highways).

Fuel: Please top off BEFORE we leave. Route is approximately 170 miles oneway. Fuel is available at exit 89 off I-40 and again in Quemado.

Return to Albuquerque: Riders have the option of going their own way back home. We will either retrace our steps or take another route home. This is often discussed over lunch and small groups form for those that want different options.

Note: Watch out for wildlife, especially through El Malpais National Monument.

Weather: This ride is based largely on weather. If for any reason we deem the ride unsafe (flood warnings for example) we will reschedule for another date.

PLEASE register (for free) so we can get a headcount. This is important for making a reservation. Thank you!
