  • CLEAR Moto is thrilled to be able to use the motocross track in Kincaid Park, thanks to the Anchorage Racing Lions. Special thanks to The Motorcycle Shop for the invite and support.

  • Class will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm AKST. It may look odd during registration, that is because CLEAR Moto operates in MST.

The optional Trail Ride group will meet at 9:00 am and ride together to the Trail Ride area (about 65 miles outside Anchorage). We will aim to be back in Anchorage by 4:00 pm (no later than 5:00 pm).

  • The major factor that separates these two levels is the intensity and challenge of the skills being taught.

    Novice:

The overall pace is slower, and easier to absorb for any rider. The focus is about building a strong foundation of the five fundamental skills CLEAR Moto teaches.

    • Vision

    • Balance

    • Clutch Control

    • Throttle Control

    • Braking Control

    Intermediate+:

We add the “+” because the intermediate level is the broadest level, spanning the space between novice and advanced. Adding the “+” allows CLEAR Moto to give you a taste of more advanced skills while still being in an intermediate level course.

The pace is faster and the skills are more challenging. You’ll still practice and hone the five fundamental skills (vision, balance, clutch, throttle, and braking control) which will give you the foundational skills to build advanced skills upon.

  • The curriculum is level specific, however both Novice and Intermediate+ focus on many of the same skills. What separates the levels is the intensity and challenge. Intermediate+ riders, believe us when we say “it can always be harder.”

    • Motorcycle Familiarization

    • Motorcycle Lift Techniques

    • Balance and Vision

    • Body Positioning

    • Braking Techniques for off-road riding

    • Understanding Traction and Terrain

    • Turning and Maneuvering

    • Hills; ascending, descending, and recovery techniques

  • There will be three classes available over one and half weeks in mid July. Two will be for Novice level riders. One will be for Intermediate+ level riders.

    • July 13-14 / Novice (Trail Ride July 15)

    • July 17-18 / Novice (Training Only)

    • July 20-21 / Intermediate+ (Trail Ride July 22)

  • New for this year, and due to last year’s requests, we’ll be offering a third-day Trail Ride option. Take all the skills you’ve learned and practiced over the weekend and apply them to real-world riding situations. Coaching will continue on the trail, so be prepared to stop frequently to discuss new trail elements.

The Trail Ride area is about 65 miles highway ride from Anchorage. Please be prepared for that portion of the ride to and from.

    • July 15 / Novice Trail Ride (coupled with July 13-14)

    • July 22 / Intermediate+ Trail Ride (coupled with July 20-21)

  • Two Day Training Only - $849

Three Day Training with Trail Ride - $1199

    • Two full days (6 hours each) of training

    • Skills taught have a building-block effect
