Adventure Rider Training where you want to ride.

Adventure Rider Trail Training

Train where you want to ride.

  • Trail Training is taking class our to the natural elements you’ll find on a trail ride. You’ll learn how to read, navigate, and troubleshoot trail terrain and conditions.

Learn to trust your motorcycle and your ability to operate it and recover on the trail.

The time we spend on the trail is more stop and go than a ride. This is still a class, and we’ll focus and practice on one or two elements in an area at a time.

  • Novice and Intermediate levels

Novice: for the new or new-to adventure rider. Perfect if you are looking to get more comfortable with the basics of adventure riding on simple trails and dirt roads.

Intermediate: great if you already have some trail riding experience and want to gain more skill or feel more confident in the situations you’ve been in.

  • This is still a class, not a trail ride. Expect to start and stop a lot as we discuss and practice on certain trail elements throughout the Trail Training course.

We’ll focus on trail elements that exist in the area we are training in. For example, we won’t be working on sand riding in a place that doesn’t have it naturally.

  • Trail Training starts at $269.

Either offered as a stand-alone training option or as an add-on with a training course.

What to Know

Trail Training Location

What you will learn is based on the area you’re training in. The course will use natural elements and conditions in that environment. Don’t expect sand training in the rocky mountains.

Sign up for Trail Training in a location and environment that you want to train and practice in.

Lunch

We’ll be taking a thirty to sixty minute lunch. Please bring a sack lunch as we’ll very likely be eating out on the trail. Bring plenty of water as well.

Soft or Hard Luggage

It is up to you whether you would like to ride and train with your luggage on. We do ask that you bring food and water, so you’ll need to bring some kind of bag (be it a backpack, tank bag, saddle bags, etc.).

Personally, we love soft bags for off-road riding. There are pros and cons to both styles, and only you can make that call for yourself. However, if you look around at some of the top adventure rider trainers, they’ll be running soft luggage.

Please see the FAQ page for answers to some of the most common questions regarding training.
